More than $52K raised for family of children who died in MLK Drive fire

A two-alarm blaze at 470 Martin Luther King Dr. on Feb. 11 killed 8-month-old Keyon Robinson and 11-year-old Desire Reid, while their mom, Angie Reid, and their 6-year-old brother Aamil Reid escaped the fire. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office’s Regional Arson Task Force is investigating the fire and has not announced the cause of the fire.
While there was one anonymous donor who contributed $2,500 to the cause, the fundraisers have proven to be community efforts. More than 1,200 donations have been pledged to the two groups. ....
