MEDINA TWP. Divers from the Lenawee County Sheriff s Office and Michigan State Police recovered the body of a Hudson man who fell through the ice Friday on Durfee Lake in Medina Township.
Damion Moog s body was found at 10:42 a.m., according to a news release from the Lenawee County Sheriff s Office.
The 22-year-old was with three friends when they all fell through the ice. The others were able to get out of the water on their own.
First responders were first alerted to the incident around 7 p.m. Friday.
The four friends walked out onto the ice on Durfee Lake Friday night to check if it was safe for ice fishing the next day, a news release issued Saturday by the sheriff s office said.  ....
