87% of Aussie consumers want to change this purchasing behaviour

A lack of awareness of ethical fashion brands and the price of such pieces are proving to be the greatest barriers for Australians to purchase ethically made clothing, new research from Baptist World Aid Australia shows. 
While 87% of Aussies want to change their fashion consumption habits and buy more ethically made/sustainable clothing, only 46% of respondents said they regularly purchase from ethical/sustainable brands. 
The findings form part of the new Australian Ethical Consumer Report, released by Baptist World Aid and social research company McCrindle. 
The report draws from national data and seeks to understand the attitudes and beliefs of Australian consumers towards ethical fashion consumption.  ....

Women Church Leaders Calling on Government to Share Vaccines with World’s Poor
The Micah Women Leaders Delegation was lobbying for continued and increasing generosity to Australia’s neighbours and an immediate contribution towards famine prevention.
Australia should share vaccines with poorer countries to reduce the impact of a “two-track pandemic”, according to women leaders from Australian church denominations and organisations.
The Micah Women Leaders Delegation – a group of 40 women – joined together in Canberra a week ago to meet with senior ministers and members of parliament.
Melissa Lipsett, chief operating officer at Baptist World Aid Australia and one of the delegates, said the meeting went well. ....
