Geert Wilders: Turkey probes Dutch MP Geert Wilders over 'insulting' Erdogan tweets

Turkish prosecutors have opened an investigation into Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders over tweets about Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Authorities in Ankara said they were probing the leader of the Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV) for insulting the Turkish President on social media.
Twitter messages from Wilders contained written and visual insults about President Erdoğan, the prosecutor s office said.
On Monday, the Dutch lawmaker tweeted: Erdoğan is an Islamist who poses a mortal danger and incites hatred and terrorism here in the Netherlands.
Wilders had also published a cartoon depicting half of Erdoğan s face on a Turkish flag and the other half on the banner of the Islamic State group, accompanied by the word terrorist . ....

Wednesday's (Potential) EPP Vote on Deutsch's Expulsion Can Trigger Hard After Effects

The European People’s Party (EPP) is scheduled to possibly vote on Tamás Deutsch’s expulsion from the party’s EP group on Wednesday after the Fidesz MEP made Gestapo and Stalinist comparisons following a comment made by Manfred Weber. According to the latest news, Deutsch’s expulsion could trigger some hard consequences as all the Fidesz-KDNP MEPs could leave the faction.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister held talks with EU-sceptic, far-right EP-member parties last week.
Tamás Deutsch’ comments, the topic of tomorrow’s potential vote, came amid an already tense EPP-Fidesz relationship (Fidesz’s membership is suspended in the party family, but not in the faction).
