Malcolm Turnbull Dropped As Chair of Clean Energy Board
Former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has been removed from his position as chair of the New South Wales (NSW) Net-Zero Emissions and Clean Economy Board, only a week after his appointment.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said that while she admired and respected Turnbull, his appointment “unfortunately for everyone concerned … was proving to be a distraction.”
The removal came hours after The Daily Telegraph published a letter from Turnbull objecting to the expansion of a coal mine in the upper Hunter Valley region near his personal property.
Turnbull said he and his wife made the submission as “long-term landowners in the district and in no other capacity” and rejected any conflict of interest. ....

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — According to scene officials, Dutton Fire Department (DFD) was dispatched to a vehicle crash on 60
th Street and Patterson Avenue.
Two people were pinned with one unresponsive, requiring aid from Kentwood Fire. After the first collision, one of the vehicles collided into a pole making the extrication process challenging for those involved.
The patient was removed from their vehicle and transported to an area trauma center with what appear to be critical injuries. Further information on their condition is not available currently. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation. ....
