Covid-19: Staff of two private hospitals in KL to be vaccinated on March 1

PETALING JAYA: Private healthcare workers from Kuala Lumpur will be vaccinated at two private hospitals in the state on March 1.
Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM) president Datuk Dr Kuljit Singh said the two hospitals are Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur and KPJ Tawakal KL.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be provided by the Wilayah Persekutuan Health Department and the vaccinators would be selected from the staff of the two private hospitals.
All frontline private healthcare workers inclusive of specialists, medical officers, nurses and medical care aides will be vaccinated over the next three weeks at these two hospitals, he said in a statement on Friday (Feb 26). ....

Covid-19: List of frontliners to receive vaccinations will be rectified, says private hospitals group

PETALING JAYA: The Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM) says it will rectify omissions from the list of private healthcare personnel who are supposed to be included in the first phase of Covid-19 vaccinations.
There had been reports saying that more than 1,000 private healthcare employees had been left off the list.
APHM president Datuk Dr Kuljit Singh said it was premature to jump to conclusions as the group did not intentionally exclude any private hospitals from the list.
We have rectified the list and updated the Health Ministry. Our association has the list of our members who have responded to us, he said on Thursday (Feb 25). ....

He said he was certain there weren’t any private hospitals delaying in sending data to the relevant government agency.
“This is something that we are not aware of and as far as private hospitals are concerned, we do not delay and report the cases as soon as we get the Covid-19 test results.
