Coroner identifies victim in deadly shooting in Lamar area

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The coroner’s office has released the name of the victim in a deadly shooting that happened late Tuesday night in Darlington County.
According to Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee, 23-year-old Corey Jaquile Williams, of Lamar, died in a shooting that happened just before midnight on Feb. 16.
Hardee said the shooting happened on Bay Branch Road near Lamar.
The shooting remains under investigation. ....
