Widower pays tribute to Diss mother-of-two who died following battle with sepsis | Updated: 14:17, 09 February 2021 A mother-of-two, who was born and raised in Diss, has been remembered as a âgreat family person whose life was completeâ. Fifty-year-old Maria Skilleter died of sepsis â a potentially life-threatening condition that occurs when the bodyâs response to an infection damages its own tissues â just weeks after being admitted to hospital with an injured leg. Her husband, James, paid tribute to his wife, who was a recognisable figure in Diss, having joined Safeway (now Morrisons) as a coffee shop assistant in October 1992, although she would go on to be a cashier for most of her working life. ....
