Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– The Dickinson County Supervisors had a discussion revolving around whether or not masks should still be required when inside the courthouse.
The sometimes heated discussion was brought forward by local resident Barb Clayton who made it clear to the board she thinks it is time for the mandate to go.
Supervisor Tim Fairchild disagreed with Clayton’s thoughts saying now may not be the time to make masks optional.
Supervisor Jeff Thee added the political divide with the pandemic makes issues like mask requirements that much more difficult to deal with on a local level. ....

(Spirit Lake) Today s (Tues.) Dickinson County Supervisors meeting was the final of 2020 and was also the final one for Supervisor Pam Jordan, who didn t seek another term in last November s election. She thanked her constituents and fellow supervisors she s worked with over the past 18 years.

I m the last person on the board that was elected to the new five member board in 2002, so that s one historic thing and was the last supervisor that was here during the construction and opening of the courthouse. And the nature center and the expansion of trails.
