Police are on the hunt for an attacker who grabbed a teenage girl from behind as she walked along a canal footpath before she fought him off and ran to police.   
The victim fought back and head-butted her attacker after he grabbed her on a canal path near Allen Street Recreation Ground in Alvaston, Derby, at 4.10pm on February 23. 
Detectives hope people will spot him because of telltale bruises on his face and call the police.   
We must catch him before he tries it again - next time it could have far more serious consequences said one detective.
