New Delhi [India], May 10 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Monday sought response on a Public Interest Litigation seeking direction to respondents to hold Late K Venugopal, Family Judge, Saket District Courts and Late Kamran Khan, MM, Dwarka District Courts, Delhi who recently lost their lives while performing their duties as frontline warriors and pay an amount of Rs 1 Crore each to the kith and kin of the deceased judicial members as an ex-gratia relief. ....

On April 16, the high court had issued a circular stating that RTPCR tests would be conducted in the COVID centre in its premises on various dates between April 19 to May 31.
The Delhi High Court Tuesday issued a circular stating RTPCR tests being conducted at COVID-19 centre on its premises shall be restricted to the court staff and advocates due to limited availability of testing kits and to streamline the rush there. Registration will be done at the centre only. No prior appointment will be given as mentioned in the earlier circular. ....

COVID-19 surge: Delhi HC, districts courts to continue virtual hearings till May 15

On April 18, the high court had said that from April 19 onwards it will only take up extremely urgent matters filed this year.
In view of alarming rise in COVID-19 cases in the national capital, which saw over 26,000 fresh infections in last 24 hours, the Delhi High Court on Friday said the existing system of hearings via video-conferencing will continue till May 15.
Similar directions were issued by the high court for the District Courts which have been ordered to conduct virtual hearings only till May 15.
An order issued by the office of the Delhi High Court Registrar General Manoj Jain said, All the benches of this court shall continue to take up only extremely urgent matters filed in the year 2021, through video conferencing mode. ....
