Mumbai : ACS, Industries & Mines Dept., Govt. of Gujarat, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, on his visit today at Dholera, along with the members of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, interacted briefly with the officials at Dholera and reviewed the infrastructural development and various ongoing projects in India’s largest greenfield smart city.

It would ‘transfer excess waters from the Chambal river basin to 13 districts facing scarcity’
The Congress government in Rajasthan has again sought the national project status for the proposed Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) during the pandemic, while affirming that it would transfer excess waters from the Chambal river basin to 13 districts facing water scarcity. The State has also formulated a contingency plan for supply of drinking water during summer.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has instructed officials to take up the issue with the Centre and make “sustained efforts” for an early start of the construction. The ambitious project with an estimated budget of ₹40,000 crore will be a major initiative for interlinking of rivers in the State. ....

GREATER NOIDA: The district administration will soon begin the process of taking physical possession of 1,365-hectare land in seven villages of Greater Noida for the development of the third runway of Noida International Airport. On January 25, the UP Cabinet notified the land acquisition for the third runway. The greenfield airport, one of the country’s biggest new infrastructure projects, will have a total of five runways.
Officials said the seven villages are Karauli Bangar, Kureb, Berampur, Mundhera, Nangla Shahpur, Ranhera and Dayanatpur. The third runway has to be added as a part of the stage II development of the project’s phase I. Work on development of the first and second runways over an area of 1,334 hectares is expected to commence by July this year, officials said. ....

There is a big news for the residents of Noida, Ghaziabad and Bulandshahr as a satellite city in the form of Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad-Investment Region will soon become a reality. This region will be developed in Bulandshahr area close to Greater Noida. In fact, the responsibility to develop 80 villages near the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial corridor is being given to Noida Authority. The move is to help Nodia Authority with the issue of crisis of land and on the other side, these villages will be developed with much greater speed.
