MG Motor India has partnered with IIT Delhi s Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART) for research in the field of electric and autonomous vehicles.

MG Motor India on Monday said it has joined hands with IIT Delhi s Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART) for research in the field of electric and autonomous vehicles. The partnership through Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi aims at furthering the automaker s focus on CASE mobility (Connected Autonomous Shared Electric); through enabling supporting research for deployment of electric and autonomous vehicles in the urban landscape in the country, MG Motor India said in a statement. MG Motor India extends its relationship with IIT Delhi

MG, which introduced the first internet electric SUV – the MG ZS EV and the first autonomous Level 1 premium SUV – Gloster, aims to use the research for developing its future autonomous vehicles.
The carmaker has also donated its ZS EV vehicle to IIT Delhi, which is a center for innovation globally and ranks among the top institutes for technology across the world, for conducting the research.
The research will also include Connected Mobility for areas including Route Planning and Navigation, Obstacle Detection, Seamless and Natural Human Interaction, and AI for Inferring and Decision-making.
Speaking about the association, Mr. Rajeev Chaba, President and MD, MG Motor India, said, “At MG, our focus has always been around bringing ground-breaking innovations in the automotive space.
