League of Women Voters hosts forum on race Shares Six local women will talk about their experiences as people of color in the Davis community at a free virtual forum from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 17. Presented by the League of Women Voters Davis Area, “I, Too, Am Davis” will explore systemic racism in Davis and efforts to promote equality and social justice. The moderated forum will begin with keynote speaker Sandy Holman, a nationally recognized leader in social justice, equity and anti-hate programs. Founder of The Culture C.O.O.P., an organization that helps people and organizations work on diversity in education, business and the community, Holman directed the documentary “The Cost of Darkness” and is the author of award-winning children’s books including, “Grandpa, Is Everything Black Bad?” ....
