South Jacksonville village president candidate Tyson Manker has asked that Village President Harry Jennings be removed as chairman of the board that will hear a challenge against Manker’s candidacy.
Village president candidate Richard “Dick” Samples filed an objection last week against Manker, arguing that Manker failed to properly file candidacy forms.
Manker on Monday filed a motion over an email he said show Jennings has “a personal bias.” Manker contends the email from Jennings was “trying to intimidate [him] into removing a post from his personal Facebook page promoting his candidacy for village president,” according to the motion. ....
