TAIPEI (Taiwan News) Taiwan confirmed on Saturday (May 1) three new COVID-19 cases imported from the Philippines and Indonesia and one domestic infection, bringing the nation s total to 1,132.
Case No. 1,130 is a fisheries worker from the Philippines in his 40s who arrived in Taiwan on April 16, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said. He tested positive for the coronavirus just before leaving quarantine, though he had been asymptomatic throughout and had no contacts during his stay in Taiwan.
Case No. 1,131 is a Taiwanese man in his 40s who left the country in December to work in Indonesia. He returned to Taiwan on March 28, spent the required period in quarantine, tested negative, and returned home. ....

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) Taiwan on Friday (April 30) confirmed four new COVID-19 cases imported from Kazakhstan, Egypt, the Philippines and India, taking the nation s total to 1,128.
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) also announced three new domestic COVID cases, all of them staff members at the Novotel hotel near Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
Case No. 1123, a Taiwanese man in his 50s who traveled to Kazakhstan on business in February and returned to Taiwan on March 30. He went home after completing his compulsory quarantine on April 14, but due to new travel plans, he visited a hospital for tests on April 28. ....

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) Taiwan recorded its 12th death of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic Saturday (April 24), one of six new cases imported from India, Indonesia and the Philippines.
The latest fatality, a Taiwanese man in his 70s, had returned from the Philippines on April 8 and was found dead at his quarantine hotel on April 21. A subsequent test turned out positive on Friday (April 23)
He had no appetite on April 19 but a medical checkup found no signs of the coronavirus. As such, he was allowed to return to his hotel for the rest of his quarantine period, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said. ....

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) Taiwan confirmed two new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases Saturday (April 10) imported from Indonesia and the Philippines, bringing the total number since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,056.
A male Indonesian fishery worker in his 20s was listed as case No. 1,056, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said. He arrived in Taiwan on March 26, showed no symptoms of the virus, but tested positive before the end of his quarantine. During his period of centralized isolation he did not come into contact with anybody else, according to the CECC. ....
