Train services were partly suspended on the Tokyu Toyoko Line from Tuesday (March 2) night through Wednesday (March 3) morning due to a power outage caused by collapsed scaffolding at a construction site along the line. Could have been much worse with the scaffolding collapsing onto a train and derailing it. Those overhead train cables carry 30,000 volts.

I live on that line and it must be a nightmare for those who have to get to work. It is really the only line between Yokohama and Tokyo if you live in that area and the distance is quite far so I guess they have to use taxis and really inconvenient routes on other lines. ....
