Kennedy Calhoun, 9, of Bellefonte is learning how to ice skate with the use of a walker at the ice skating rink in Wayne Township.

McELHATTAN Whether you’re an advanced ice skater or a beginner just learning how to glide across an ice surface, you’re invited to spend some time at the ice skating rink in Wayne Township which is now open.
The rink is adjacent to the Little League baseball field in the recreation park and members of the recreation committee report that the ice is frozen solid and ready for skaters.
Although local folks have complained recently about the cold temperatures, those who enjoy ice skating know that it’s those cold days and nights that make the ice just right for skating. ....
