Hurricanes down Rebels 8-5 at the Enmax


LETHBRIDGE, AB. The Red Deer Rebels finally found their offensive stride Monday night in Lethbridge, but it still wasn’t enough as they dropped an 8-5 decision to the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge.
The Rebels lost their ninth game in a row and sit at 2-12-2-0 on the season. Lethbridge improved to 6-6-2-0 on the year.
Zack Stringer opened the scoring for Lethbridge 10:11 into the first period when he found a loose puck in the slot and put it past Rebels goalie Byron Fancy for his fifth goal of the year.
Just 36 seconds later, with the Hurricanes on the powerplay, Justin Hall ripped home a one-timer for his 10 ....

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Craig Armstrong scored in every period and finished with a career-high four goals as the Prince George Cougars downed the Vancouver Giants 4-1 on Monday in Western Hockey League play.
Armstrong, who had just one goal in 62 games last year in his rookie season, recorded a hat trick by 9:48 of the second period and tacked on an empty netter late in the third.
Taylor Gauthier kicked out 37-of-38 shots while Riley Heidt chipped in with two assists to help the Cougars (3-2-2) improve to 2-0-2 in their last four contests. ....
