They have been identified as Arun Purti (27), resident of Harmoti Merbil under Bihpuriya Block Primary Health Centers (BPHC) area and Rupeswar Dutta (87), resident of Gharmora Na-Pamuwa under Boginadi BPHC area. He breathed his last in Catholic Hospital, Borgang under Biswanath district while the latter died in Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital (LMCH). On the other hand, a total of 84 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in the district on Wednesday. Out of them, 82 cases were found to be positive for COVID-19 as per Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) while the other two cases were detected as per the RTPCR (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) Test.
