IN PICS: First batch of Lekhwiya personnel receives COVID-19 vaccine

The first batch of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) received COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday.
Qatar started its biggest vaccination programme against the infection on December 23 and is currently immunising people in the priority group healthcare workers, the elderly and people with chronic diseases. It will soon make the vaccine available for the general population.
 
Several senior health officials, including Director of Public Health Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al Thani, Co-chairperson of National Pandemic Preparedness Committee and Director of Health Protection and Communicable Diseases Dr Hamad Eid Al Romaihi, Head of Vaccination Dr Soha Al Bayat and Medical Director of HMC’s Communicable Disease Center Dr Muna Al Maslamani, have taken the vaccine to reassure the public that the vaccine is safe. ....
