Illegal P'pang car racing: Duo fined RM2,600 | Daily Express Online - Sabah's Leading News Portal

Kota Kinabalu: Two men were fined a total of RM2,600 by the Traffic Court here Friday for involving in illegal car racing two years ago.
Mohd Norazwan Mohd Nor, 34, and Rozaidy Mazlan, 32, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun to taking part in the race in their respective car at 1am on Sept 22, 2019 along Penampang bypass in front of the ITCC.
Norazwan and Rozaidy were fined RM1,300 or one month’s jail each.

Earlier, the prosecution told the court that the duo were spotted committing the offence by traffic police conducting ‘Ops Samseng Jalanan’ at the said area, endangering themselves and other road users. ....

Kota Kinabalu: Efforts to capture a crocodile sighted in the monsoon drain near Taman Fortuna and the Rainforest Park, here, is on-going.

An official from the Wildlife Department said, Saturday, traps have been installed in different locations around the area and that it could be the same crocodile that was spotted there on Nov. 25, last year.
Video of a crocodile basking itself started making its rounds on social media, this time nearer to the Rainforest Park.
It was earlier reported that the crocodile is of the Crocodylus porosus species or salt water crocodile and is estimated to measure between five and six foot with a weight of between 35kg and 50kg. ....
