SCITUATE – Public input is at the forefront of the Planning Commission’s priorities for updating Scituate’s comprehensive plan, the document focused on the town’s community and development goals, land use, and more.
At the Dec. 15 Plan Commission meeting, Weston and Sampson, a company hired to help update the plan, presented an outline and timeline for topics that will be covered.
A significant topic that night was how and when to allow public comment during the process. Planning Commission Chairman Jeffrey Hanson said the more public input the document receives, the better the outcome.
Ashley Sweet, of Weston and Sampson, suggested that the town upload the document to the town website, similar to how Scituate posted updates to the home rule charter online in the past. ....
