Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], July 30 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Assembly on Wednesday passed a Bill to acquire a private medical college in Durg amidst uproar by the opposition in the state Assembly.
We had announced the acquisition of Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College, Kachandur in a program organized on February 2, 2021, on the occasion of the death anniversary of Late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar. This decision has been taken in the larger interest of people in the state and for the students of the college. A committee of senior officers was constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to examine all aspects of acquisition at the government level. After the committee recommended the acquisition, a bill was prepared to take over the college and it was approved by the cab ....

Tragedy struck our security forces on Saturday (April 3) when atleast 22 jawans got martyred and 31 were wounded in deadly four-hour encounter with Naxals along the border between Bijapur and Sukma districts in Chhattisgarh.  
A “U-type” ambush was carried out by maoists in Bijapur district after luring security personnel into a trap with the input of the possible presence of a top Maoist commander, an official by quoted as saying by HT. ....

In major loss to our security forces, 22 jawans were killed and 31 were injured in a deadly four-hour encounter with Naxals along the border between Bijapur and Sukma districts in Chhattisgarh on Saturday (April 3). 
Over 2,000 police personnel drawn from CRPF’s elite CoBRA unit, and the state police’s District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Special Task Force (STF) walked into a deadly trap of Maoists in deep jungle in a rebel-dominated patch in Chhattisgarh’s restive Bastar, purely on an unverified intelligence input that top Naxal commander Madvi Hidma was holed up at a hilly site along with his colleagues. ....
