The Nigerian Communications Commission on Friday said it remitted over N362.34bn as revenue in five years to the Federal Government’s consolidated revenue account.
Executive Vice Chairman, NCC, Umar Danbatta, said this in his presentation to Course 29 Participants at the National Defence College Abuja.
He stated that the role of telecommunications was critical to the diversification of Nigeria’s economy.
In a statement issued in Abuja by the spokesperson of the NCC, Ikechukwu Adinde, the NCC boss said the telecoms sector was the life-wire that would drive the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy of the Federal Government. ....

Abuja, Dec. 18, 2020 The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), says it remitted N362.34 billion revenue to the Federal Government’s consolidated account in five years
NCC Executive Vice-Chairman Umar Danbatta said this while making a presentation to Course 29 Participants of the National Defence College, in Abuja.
The Director of Public Affairs, NCC, Dr Ikechukwu Adinde, made this known in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
Adinde said that Danbatta spoke on the theme, “The Telecommumcations Industry and Nanonal Development in Nigeria: The Role of NCC in Promotmg Digital Economy.
He said that the telecoms sector was the life-wire that would drive the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) of the Federal Government. ....

The Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Umar Danbatta, says the telecommunications industry has been positioned to drive the economic diversification plan of Federal government.
Professor Danbatta made this assertion in his presentation to Course 29 Participants at the National Defence College, Nigeria, on Monday.
Speaking on a theme, “The Telecommunications Industry and National Development in Nigeria: The Roles of the NCC in Promoting Digital Economy”, he said, Telecoms sector is the life-wire that will drive the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) of the Federal Government.” ....

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Umar Danbatta has said that the commission remitted over N362.34 billion as revenue in five (5) years to the Federal Government’s consolidated revenue account.
This is just as he described as key the role of telecommunications to the diversification of the nation’s economy.
Professor Danbatta disclosed this in his presentation to Course 29 Participants at the National Defence College, Nigeria, on Monday.
