L'Oreal launches new program to support Saudi graduates

JEDDAH: L’Oreal Middle East has put together a new program for Saudis called Stretch and Tech, which aims to support new graduates.
The 145-hour program exposes students to the global brand’s digital and marketing directions across the company’s major divisions.
L’Oreal is also offering CV-building workshops for university students, as well as business talks on the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector and career paths.
“Supporting university students in developing their careers and enhancing their employability is key to us, and we are now working on expanding the programs to reach as many universities as possible in Saudi Arabia,” said Jean-Dominique de Ravignan, the brand’s human resources director in the Middle East. ....

Global Competitiveness Report 2020: Saudi Arabia among world's top 10 in digital skills

Abu Dhabi: Saudi Arabia has been ranked among the top 10 countries in the world in digital skills, according to the Global Competitiveness Report 2020..
The report. World Economic Forum (WEF), attributed this progress to four factors adoption of information and communication technology, flexible work arrangements, the national digital skills, and the legal digital framework.
The driving force behind this achievement included the launch of four academies to enhance digital skills (Saudi Digital Academy, Misk Academy, Twaiq Academy, and the National Academy for Information Technology), in addition to spreading knowledge and digital literacy through a number of initiatives including Digital Giving and Think Tech, which in turn contributed to reaching more than 15 million beneficiaries around the world, more than 70,000 young people, and more than 31,000 trainees in the Future Skills Initiative. ....
