Susan Washburn, age 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2021, at home with her beloved husband and children by her side after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born on November 17, 1950, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter to the late Ralph and Joyce (Horton) Paciolla.
Susan grew up and spent her life in Gloversville, NY. She attended Gloversville schools and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Oswego. On June 2, 1973, Susan married the love of her life, Elmer Washburn. They had three children together.
After raising her children, Susan returned to college and received a Master’s Degree from The College of St. Rose. She enjoyed a career working as a Speech Pathologist in area schools. ....
