Around the world many children, adolescents and young people grow up and become sexually active without access to quality, gender responsive information, education and services regarding their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) is a curriculum-based process of teaching and learning about the cognitive, emotional, physical and social aspects of sexuality. It aims to equip children and young people with knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that will empower them to: realise their health, wellbeing and dignity; develop respectful social and sexual relationships; consider how their choices affect their own wellbeing and that of others; and, understand and ensure the protection of their rights throughout their lives. ....

Requirements
Plan International is a multi-sectoral organisation with a global priority in addressing unintended adolescent pregnancy, especially given the close association with high rates of child, early, and forced marriages and unions.
In 2020, Plan International undertook an internal consultation on adolescent pregnancy and young parenthood to deepen our understanding and gather the different perspectives and experiences of Plan International staff, looking across the different priority thematic areas2 of Plan International. This internal consultation resulted in a road map for action, identifying clear gaps and future deliverables to support Plan International´s ambition to be a gender-transformative organisation, which includes developing approaches that also consider the needs and support for pregnant adolescents and young parents. ....
