The State Government on Wednesday has given the go-ahead for movie halls and theatres to have 100 per cent seating capacity for four weeks. The decision was taken after a delegation led by
Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) met Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr K
Sudhakar and Minister for Information and Public Relations C C Patil at Vidhana Soudha to protest against the 50 per cent rule.
“State Chief Secretary, as per the advice of the technical committee, had issued an order on Tuesday allowing 50 per cent seating capacity for screening movies at theatres across the state. ....

State government says this arrangement will continue till end of February
Though the Centre has allowed 100 per cent seating in cinema halls, the state government has modified the order stating that only 50 per cent of viewers will be allowed per show.
The latest circular issued by the State government states, “After reviewing the current scenario of covid-19 and also considering the possible second wave, it has been decided that as a matter of abundant precaution and in the larger interest of public health, 50 per cent capacity of seating in cinema halls shall continue till 28th of February 2021.” ....
