Harsh winter conditions continued through Tuesday morning as an ice storm hit the area, making travel treacherous.
According to the weather.com almanac, the mix of sleet, freezing rain and snow resulted in accumulation of more than half an inch of precipitation.
The wintry conditions are showing no sign of letting up, as snow is expected Thursday and Friday. The National Weather service has issued a Winter Storm Watch from noon Thursday through 7 a.m. Friday. ....
