WEST LAFAYETTE — By the fall 2021 semester, in-person classes and residential plans at Purdue University could be back to normal, or as normal as life post-pandemic can be.
Citing the expected increase in COVID-19 vaccinations and “no evidence of classroom transmission,” a recent letter by President Mitch Daniels and Provost Jay Akridge said Purdue plans to resume a traditional academic calendar, with typical breaks, in the fall.
“With this outlook and our understanding of the significant impact of modified instruction on student success, instructor workload, and community well-being, our intent is to take another step toward full restoration of our residential instruction model for fall 2021,” the letter reads. ....
