MANSEHRA: District administration has warned patwaris (revenue collectors) to ensure presence at their offices situated in their respective localities, otherwise legal action would be initiated against them.
“We have been paying surprise visits to the Patwar offices in order to ensure that land mutation and other activities take place in accordance with the directions issued by the district administration,” Assistant Commissioner Sundus Arshad Malik told reporters on Saturday.
She said that Deputy Commissioner Dr Qasim Ali Khan has taken notice of the alleged absence of the patwaris from their respective localities and directed the assistant commissioners concerned to regularly monitor their activities. ....

MANSEHRA: The district administration has warned hoteliers, shopkeepers and marriage halls’ management to strictly follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the government to contain the spread of novel coronavirus.
“The district administration wants you to ensure that Covid-19 SOPs are strictly being followed, otherwise, we would leave with no other option but to impose the smart lockdown and take to justice those who are in defiance,” Sundus Arshad Malik, the Additional Assistant Commissioner, told the business community here on Tuesday.
She paid visits to shops, marriage halls and hotels by the directives of Deputy Commissioner Dr Qasim Ali Khan and checked enforcement of SOPs. ....

MANSEHRA: The federal government has released Rs500 million for the construction of a 132kv grid station in the Gandia area to address the loadshedding and low voltages issues in parts of the district.
“The main grid station in Mansehra is under a tremendous load and the new one could not only ease overloading on the existing one but also provide an uninterrupted electricity supply to both commercial and domestic consumers in the Konsh and Siran valleys,” MNA Saleh Mohammad Khan, the federal parliamentary secretary water resources, told reporters here on Thursday. ....
