PDEA agent 'traumatized' by Feb. 24 'misencounter'? – Manila Bulletin

National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Deputy Director Ferdinand M. Lavin said on Wednesday, March 10, that “one PDEA agent is undergoing trauma assessment at our Behavioral Science Division.”
Lavin did not name the PDEA agent.
The NBI has been directed by President Duterte as the sole agency to conduct the probe in the “misencounter” that resulted in the deaths of two policemen, one PDEA agent, and an informer.
On the NBI’s probe, Lavin said: “We are finishing the crime scene reconstruction.”
Justice Secretary Menardo I. Guevarra had directed the NBI to give priority to the “misencounter” probe.

A National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) composite team has been formed to conduct the probe on the “misencounter” among operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) last Feb. 24 in Quezon City.
Justice Secretary Menardo I. Guevarra said on Saturday, Feb. 27, the team is headed by NBI Deputy Director Antonio M. Pagatpat and is composed of agents from the bureau’s investigation, intelligence, and forensic divisions.
President Duterte last Feb. 26 directed the PNP and PDEA to forego their join investigation on the “misencounter” in front of a restaurant in Quezon City. ....

The man who was last with retired Court of Appeals (CA) justice Normandie Pizarro before he went missing on October 23 owed him some money, although the amount wasn’t much, said National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin.
on Wednesday, December 23, this “person of interest” in the Pizarro slay case met the former judge at a casino last August.
“‘Yun ang kanilang common ground. Doon sila naging magkaibigan. Doon sila nag-meet. We got information that may utang siya kay Justice…. The amount is not really that much,” Lavin said. ....
