Thanks to savings of roughly $830,000 from last year’s Stratford police budget, a number of new and ongoing projects, including diversity training and the purchase of officers body cameras, will get a funding boost this year.
At Wednesday’s police services board meeting, Chief Greg Skinner and Deputy Chief Gerry Foster outlined a previously approved carryover of a little less than half the police surplus – about $385,000 – to fund these projects. The remaining $445,000 of the surplus, Ski ....
