Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav: Awareness cum interaction program on NGDRS held at RTI Gole Gujral

The aim of the program was to feel the energy of freedom. A power-point presentation was given by Anjali from NIC. In the program the public was apprised about the benefits and operation of the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) which aims to bring all the stakeholders on one platform for registration of documents which otherwise was a cumbersome process before introduction of NGDRS.
Additional Inspector General Registration, Jammu Leena Padha reflected on some key points of registration viz stamp duty which is 3% in case the document is registered in the name of a female, 5% in case of joint property in the name of a couple and 7% if bought by a male. ....

JAMMU: A Lok Adalat was held today here in the District Court Complex, Janipur under the Chairmanship of Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Jammu, and under the overall supervision of Naushad Ahmed Khan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority.
A total number of four benches were constituted at District Court Complex, Jammu. A total 159 cases were taken up, out of which 101 cases were decided with a settlement amount of Rs. 16631577.
The first bench dealt with MACT cases and was presided over by Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Jammu, and by R. S. Jasrotia, Presiding Officer, MACT Jammu. ....
