Man booked for false promise of hospital bed at NIMS for COVID-positive patient


An inquiry revealed that the individual was not an employee of the hospital.
A person who cheated a man in distress by promising to get a bed for his COVID-19 positive mother at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, was booked by the Punjagutta police here on Friday. However, the incident came to light only on Saturday.
According to police, NIMS Superintendent Dr. N. Satyanarayana approached them stating that on May 18, one Krishna Reddy came to his office and lodged a written complaint stating that he brought his mother Sugunamma to the hospital for treatment, where he met one Prashanth who claimed that he will get his mother admitted and treated. ....

What should people do after recovering from COVID-19? How much time does it take to recuperate?
After recovering from COVID-19, people should try to keep their mental health strong. What we find is that the disease has a psychosocial impact on the person’s health. Also, concentrate on good nutrition. After any major illness, the body becomes weak. So, we have seen many patients getting bacterial infections after recovering and they are coming to the hospital with UTI or other infections. Exercising is also very important. If it was a very severe case of COVID-19, then the patient may take months to recuperate. If not, the patient recuperates in 15-20 days. ....

Jammu: The Oxygen supply, in the wake of prevailing global pandemic, is quite comfortable in hospitals of Jammu province with enough oxygen production to cater to the requirement of Covid-19 patients of the region.
Incharge Oxygen GMC and Deputy Medical Superintendent, Super Specialty Hospital, Dr Harjeet Rai, informed this while elaborating on the status of oxygen availability in health institutions of the region. ‘It is our earnest endeavor to ensure that no patient suffers for need of oxygen supply during this crucial time of worldwide epidemic”, he maintained while assuring the public of sufficient availability of oxygen in hospitals of Jammu province. ....
