Dubai: As part of the Dubai Police’s community-based initiative ‘Positive Spirit’, the Dubai Mounted Police, in coordination with the General Department of Community Happiness, recently organised a training workshop on horseback riding basics for 15 orphans from Hemaya School for Boys.
The workshop, which took place at the Mounted Police Department in Al Aweer area, was delivered to the participants by Dubai Police’s professional trainers.
The orphans were introduced to the basics of horsemanship, and were provided a hands on experience to work in different areas, from riding and grooming to arts and playing with horses. They were also trained in saddling, bridling, riding attire, mounting, holding the reins, correct riding position, going forward and stopping and steering. ....

Dubai Mounted Police recently organised a training workshop on horse riding for 15 orphans from Hemaya Schools for Boys.
As part of the Dubai Police’s community-based initiative ‘Positive Spirit’, the Dubai Mounted Police, in coordination with the General Department of Community Happiness, have recently organised a training workshop on horseback riding basics for 15 orphans from Hemaya Schools for Boys.
The workshop, which took place at the Mounted Police Department in Al Aweer area, was delivered to the enthusiastic participants by Dubai Police’s professional trainers.

Six-year-old Dubai boy gets a surprise visit and gifts from the police

Dubai: A six-year-old boy has overcome his fear of the police after receiving a surprise home visit and gifts from the Dubai Police.
Colonel Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, acting director of Dubai Police General Department of Community Happiness, said an Arab family had approached Dubai Police and sought their assistance to help their child overcome fear of policemen and change the child’s negative perception about the force.
“We dispatched a team from the Security Awareness Department that was accompanied policewoman mascot ‘Amna’ to entertain the little boy. We also gifted him with a tailored police uniform and took him on a ride around his neighbourhood in one of Dubai Police’s luxury patrol cars,” he explained. ....
