THD Cancels Vaccine Clinic; Lack Of Notice Causes Many To Still Show Up
The Tulsa Health Department cancelled a day of vaccinations at the Fairgrounds, but not until many people were already on the way. The announcement was made at 8:30 am, but people with appointments showed up at day at the Pavilion, only to find the clinic was closed.
About 1,900 people had appointments Thursday at the Tulsa Expo Square, but just before the clinic was to open, the Health Department decided the parking lot was too icy and it was too dangerous.
Until the precipitation stops, there s not a lot we can do about the parking lot, Tulsa Emergency Management director Joe Kralicek said. ....
