For as long as we’ve called Sandwich home, we’ve heard the complaint that there is nothing for kids to do here. Besides jumping off the Boardwalk during the summer, and an afterschool sport or two, people have grumbled that the town is somewhat of a black hole when it comes to fun for the young (and even not so young) among us.
It’s almost as common as the gripes we hear about the town’s high tax rate and the absence of town-offered curbside trash pickup.
While we see no light at the end of the tunnel for the last two complaints, the needle on the town’s fun-o-meter has taken some big jumps recently, and more might be right around the bend. ....
