HYDERABAD: After State Tourism Minister Srinivas Goud had reportedly expressed unhappiness over the appointment of the department’s brand ambassador without his knowledge, leading to speculations of the ambassador’s removal, the department dispelled the speculations on Tuesday.

Work on the Interpretation Centre of the Quli Qutb Heritage Park has come to a grinding halt following a ruling by the Telangana State Waqf Tribunal. Telangana Tourism unveils online portal for single-window clearance
V Srinivas Goud, Tourism Minister of Telangana has launched TS-Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-iPASS) service to quickly process the issuance of various licences, clearances and certificates required to come up with hotels, resorts, travel agents, tourism events and other activities.
The portal, set to bring a major boost to the hospitality and tourism industry of the state, was inaugurated in the presence of Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries; Srinivasa Raju, Tourism Secretary and B Manohar, MD, Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC).
Speaking during the launch, Goud said, âIf an entrepreneur plans to set up a hotel, he needs to obtain clearances and approvals from 15 departments, including fire services, pollution control board, municipality, etc. All that cumbersome process is now history. Applicants, inc ....

TS-iPass to give push to tourism

Tourism added to the portal that was launhced in 2014
TS-iPass, which has helped catapult Telangana to one of the top states in the ease of doing business, is being deployed by the state to help its tourism sector.
“We hope tourism gets the same kind of investment as industries got when we created the single window online process for approval,” said Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industry and Commerce, who has been part of the initial confabulations with industry right from the beginning. TS-iPass was launched in 2014 and deployed in 2016 and has helped Telangana get about 14224 industries in the State.
With tourism being added to the portal, the registration of hotels, resorts, service apartments, lodges, wayside amenities, convention centres and even tourism events will get the same online treatment. ....
