Waqf Board initiates legal action to stop sale of Balapur Waqf lands

Hyderabad: The Telangana Waqf Board wrote a letter to the Registration and Stamp Department to safeguard the Waqf lands of Dargah Hazrat Mir Momin Chup also known as Fakhir Mulla.
The Chairman Waqf Board Mohammed Saleem sent a team of officials to review the complaints regarding the sale of Waqf properties.
After the review, the team of the Waqf officials cautioned the “Mutawalli” (caretaker) of the Dargah not to sell the Waqf properties. It was said that the notified Waqf lands were sold recently by declaring them as personal property. ....

Hyderabad: The Telangana Waqf Board needs to pay immediate attention to safeguard the lands of Muslim Qabristan in Sangaredy district’s Janaram Mandal.
There are many acres of lands under the Qabristan which is listed under Auqaf properties vide Serial Number 17933 of AP Gazettee No.46-A.
However, some land grabbers are eyeing these vacant lands of the Qabristan. The Waqf Board has permitted the caretaker of this Qabaristan to set up a boundary wall to safeguard these lands. But these land gabbers are creating hurdles in the construction of the boundry wall. ....

Hyderabad: In response to a representation seeking permission for prayers in Charminar’s mosque, the officials of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Telangana expressed their inability to grant such permission and advised them to contact ASI officials in Delhi for such permission.
Earlier, Hyderabad Congress Committee Vice President Mohammed Arshad Khan had a representation with Superintending Archaeologist S S Kumar seeking his permission to allow prayer in Charminar’s historic mosque.
Kumar informed Khan in writing that neither he nor other officials have the authority to open the mosque for prayers. He advised Khan to contact ASI in Delhi. ....

Hyderabad: Telangana Waqf Board succeeded in salvaging prime endowment lands from state Minister G Kamlakar who has appeared in High Court challenging the stay on endowment property registration.
There is 55 acres and 24 gunthas of lands under survey Nos.122,126,129,154 and 171 which comes under “Khitabat”, “Inamland” and “Eid-gah” which has a proper ownership record as per the Waqf gazette issued on 11 January 1990.
It is learnt that the state Minister G Kamlakar had claimed 15 acres of these lands and in 2012 he had an order issued in his favour through RDO. The Joint Collector listed the Minister’s name as the owner of the land. ....

Hyderabad: A complaint was lodged against inspector and member of Waqf by Masjid Committee members of Madikunta Village, Sadhashivpet Mandal under Sanga Reddy district on Saturday for corruption.
According to village sarpanch Mohd. Arifuddin, for the past year, Waqf Inspector Khadar and Waqf Board member Waheed Ahmed along with local political leaders have been making money from Waqf land grabbers instead of taking action against those who have encroached their properties in the village. ....
