The Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Board has invited applications under the new schemes it has introduced for employees in organised sectors. The Board has introduced a welfare scheme for workers who contribute to Labour Welfare Fund and are working in factories, motor transport undertakings, catering, plantations and commercial establishments.
In its 78th board meeting held recently, the Board resolved to provide assistance for tailoring trainees, who have completed training in government approved tailoring institutes, and assistance for students who appear for higher education entrance coaching classes. Contributions towards the Labour Welfare Fund as per the Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Fund Act for 2020 must be paid by January 31, 2021, the Labour Department has said.
A release on Monday said employees working in factories, motor transport undertakings, plantations, catering, shops and establishments must contribute ₹ 30 per employee. This comprises the employee’s share of ₹ 10 and the employer’s share of ₹ 20. The contributions should be submitted along with Form-A by January 31.
The contributions shall also be remitted either online at www.lwb.tn.gov.in or through demand draft drawn in favour of The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Board. ....

The Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Board has introduced online payment facilities for organisations to remit contributions towards Labour Welfare Fund.
A press release said that the board was constituted for the implementation of various labour welfare schemes for the workers and as per Section 2 (d) of Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1972, employees working in factories, motor transport undertakings, plantations and five or more employees working in the catering and shops or establishments should contribute for the fund. The employee share is ₹ 10 while the employer’s share is ₹ 20. Hence, a sum of ₹ 30 per employee should be paid towards Labour Welfare Fund in Form-A, for the year 2020 on or before January 31, 2021. ....

Mysore/Mysuru: For the first time in Karnataka State, the
Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has launched ‘Namma Mane – Namma Licence’ service that will help people to get building plan approved within a day. 
Henceforth, citizens need not run from pillar to post or grease the palm of officials to get the MUDA building plan approved. If all documents submitted are perfect, then people can collect the licence to build the house within a day.
