Tax collection 18pc higher: Facilitating expats yielding dividends, says PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday appreciated the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for achieving the historic level of tax revenue of Rs4,732 billion in 2020-21, exceeding the target of Rs4,691 billion and 18 percent higher than the last year.
The prime minister tweeted, “I commend efforts of FBR for achieving historic level of tax revenues of Rs4,732 billion in 2020-21 - exceeding target of Rs4,691bn & 18% higher than last year. This performance is testimony to the strong economic revival spurred by our government s policies”.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday chairing a meeting on increase in foreign remittances. The premier directed the ministries concerned to consider extending more incentives to the overseas Pakistanis to attract maximum remittances. ....

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday said no nation could move forward without long-term planning and it was tragic that governments in Pakistan could not make long-term planning due to the general election every five years.
Addressing a function here in connection with documentary-drama (Paani ke Pankh), he termed the 10 years of PPP and PML-N governments from 2008 through 2018 the decade of darkness, marred by massive corruption, political expediency and inefficiency. “When criminals become country heads, then no country can develop. Succession certificate, letter of administration Documents to be available within 15 days

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday launched the online system for issuance of letters of administration and succession certificates within 15 days, saying the step will greatly facilitate local citizens and overseas Pakistanis. Addressing the launch ceremony here, he said the main objective of digitalization of inheritance system was to facilitate the general public and to provide them with justice without delay. The letters of administration and succession certificates, which earlier took around two to seven years to issue, will now take two weeks. Imran said the government considered legal reforms crucial in ensuring justice through peoplefriendly legislation. He regretted that delay in matters relating to inheritance of property caused utmost grievances to the heirs, particularly the families dispersed abroad. Imran Khan said the overall system that denied the spirit of facilitation for general public in fact encouraged criminal activities in shap ....
