LETTER | Pusat Komas applauds the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government for propounding the National Unity Action Plan (NUAP) (Blueprint) 2021-2030. It is unequivocally a step forward to promote unity at this juncture, yet some poignant reservations from the past must be weighed before yet another idea takes the form of paperwork instead of solid execution.
It is further troubling to comprehend that the PN government has in several instances displayed itself as a Malay Muslim government. Glaring contradictions between these two stances may indicate that Muhyiddin Yassin-led government is rather insincere in the agenda of national unity while clamours of racial politics linger in the air. ....

Undi 18: Dep Minister Says M'sian Youth Not Ready While The Passed Law Sits In Limbo For Almost 2 Years

UPDATE: Article has been rectified regarding gazettement of the Constitution (Amendment) Act 2019. The Deputy Minister has also replied to state his support for Undi 18 and that it wasn’t his intention to imply that Malaysian youth are not ready to vote. Read more
“What’s happening with Undi 18?” asked Malaysians online as Senator and Youth & Sports Deputy Minister Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal allegedly said that Malaysians are not ready to vote at 18 years old.
This is despite the bill passing Parliament in July 2019 and made history as the first successful constitutional amendment which received support from both sides of the political divide. The bill received 211 votes out of 222 in Dewan Rakyat with zero nays. ....
