QUETTA: Kashmiri refugees living in Balochistan on Sunday showed scant interest in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly election.
The Election Commission had set up polling stations in Quetta, Mastung, Sibi, Nasirabad, Barkhan, Qila Saifullah and Kech districts, but Kashmiri voters cast their votes only in Quetta and Sibi.
According to the officials concerned, not a single voter turned up at the polling stations in Nasirabad, Kech, Mastung, Barkhan and Qila Saifullah. The election staff, however, remained at the polling stations till the end of voting time in these districts, they added. ....

QUETTA: Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri has said that differences between the chief minister and other leaders of parties in the province’s coalition government would be resolved soon.
Talking to media personnel on Tuesday after visiting the Civil Hospital, Bolan Medical College Complex hospital and Fatima Jinnah Chest hospital, he said that differences among coalition partners were not a new thing.
Replying to a question about recent attacks on members of security forces in Balochistan, he condemned them and held India responsible for these attacks.
He said that Pakistan was playing its due role for peace in Afghanistan, but India did not want its efforts to succeed there. ....
