Five arrested following police murders

Five suspects were arrested in the Logageng Village, North West, for allegedly murdering two police officials.
According to Hawks spokesperson, Tlangelani Rikhotso, officers were patrolling the area when they came across a vehicle loaded with suspected stolen goats.
The officers didn’t return to their office afterwards, and contact with their commander at the Community Service Centre (CSC) was lost.
Rikhotso adds the five suspects were traced, arrested and found in possession of a 9mm pistol, which allegedly belonged to one of the two police officers.
OFM News previously reported that a burned police vehicle and the bodies of the two officers had been found after they went missing whilst chasing stock theft suspects. ....

Seven suspects between the age of 28 and 67 were arrested at the crack of dawn by a multidisciplinary team that swooped in on various premises in Gauteng.

Seven men between the ages of 28 and 67 were arrested at various locations across Gauteng on Wednesday.
They are accused of large-scale prepaid electricity fraud and theft. They are expected to appear in the Fochville magistrate’s court on Friday. 
Hawks spokesperson Col Philani Nkwalase said one of the suspects allegedly enticed the arresting officers with a R100,000 bribe during their arrest, and was also charged with corruption. ....
