Does your school have outdoor areas languishing because of no shade? We are offering one lucky school $10,000 to make outdoor areas more shady!
To be in the running, make sure your school is a part of the SunSmart program by either renewing your school’s membership or joining. Entries close at 5pm on Friday 12 November 2021, with the lucky winner being drawn in National Skin Cancer Action Week , which runs from 21-27 November 2021. Schools can also win one of five SunSmart packs.
This is the 10th edition of the program with many schools benefiting from the $10,000 grant provided by Cancer Council WA. Our 2019 winners, Beaumaris Primary School, used their winnings to purchase a permanent shade structure over a little used playground. ....

Australia s first National Skin Check Day, spearheaded by charity Mates Against Melanoma is raising awareness of the importance of self monitoring for skin cancers as summer comes to an end.
The campaign, backed by medical experts, has encouraged all Australians to be vigilant about their skin and save lives.
