Cabinet nod to 28% hike in DA of state govt employees | Ranchi News

RANCHI: The state cabinet on Tuesday gave its nod to the finance department’s proposal to raise the dearness allowances (DA) of Jharkhand government employees with retrospective effect from July 1 this year. The revised DA will benefit nearly 2.5 lakh active employees.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, cabinet secretary Vandana Dadel said, “The ministerial council gave its approval to raising the DA of the state government employees from the current 17.5% to 28%. Accordingly, the DA of the pension holders have also been increased.” ....

NEW DELHI: The Delhi government has said that the Yamuna is not fit for bathing in the absence of a minimum environment flow in the river, as per a report submitted to the Union Jal Shakti Ministry. “Minimum environmental flow for the dilution of polluted water in Yamuna is required to meet the desired water quality levels for bathing purpose i.e. BOD5 mg/l,” the report read. ....
