In conjunction with the government’s agency-wide ongoing National Level Cashless Payment Campaign 2020, the National Registration Department (NRD) has declared Wednesdays as “cashless day”.
Announcing the move on Facebook, the NRD shared that this has already been implemented at all its state offices and Urban Transformation Centres (UTC) nationwide.
They stated that instead of using cash, customers are required to make their payments using debit and credit cards, cheques, and internet banking transactions via FPX.
It added that those who do so stand a chance of winning attractive prizes, including a Proton X70, a MyVi, a Yamaha Y15ZR V2, or a smartphone worth RM1,100. ....

The National Registration Department (JPN) has declared Wednesday as a “cashless day”, in conjunction with the ongoing National Level Cashless Payment Campaign 2020 (Kempen Pembayaran Tanpa Tunai Peringkat Nasional 2020).
Following this decision, individuals who visit the state capital and UTC offices of JPN are required to use cashless payments for their affairs at the department on every Wednesday. This includes payment options such as debit and credit cards, cheques, and internet banking via FPX.
Since 2018, JPN had already introduced the use of cashless payments in its state capital and UTC offices via the ePayment service, starting with Kuala Lumpur, Johor, and Terengganu. The department also said that it aims to expand the ePayment service to all district and other smaller JPN branches within the country by 2021. ....
