ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the government will soon launch a `National Remittance Loyalty Programme’ for overseas Pakistanis to provide them incentives for their contributions to the country’s development.
While presiding over a meeting on remittances on Friday, the prime minister highlighted the need for taking measures to provide more facilities to the Pakistanis living abroad.
The programme will be launched in collaboration with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR), National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC), Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), Benevolent and Old Age Employees Fund and other government agencies. PM backs more incentives for overseas Pakistanis

Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that the government was committed to providing facilities and incentives to overseas Pakistanis and their families as recognition for their immense contribution to the country’s development.
Terming the overseas Pakistanis an invaluable asset, Khan said the remittances were playing a key role in stabilising the economy. Chairing a meeting on the matter, the PM stressed that more needed to be done in the way of incentives for those Pakistanis living abroad.
He directed the development of a comprehensive strategy focusing on foreign exchange and other economic imperatives geared towards stability and economic growth, while calling on the relevant ministries to set targets in this regard. ....

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said the government was committed to providing facilities to overseas Pakistanis and their families for their “immense contribution” to Pakistan as he asked his ministers to consider extending more incentives to expatriates to attract more remittances.
Returning to his frequent praise of overseas Pakistanis as “invaluable assets” for their remittances which have helped kept the economy afloat during the coronavirus pandemic Khan said remittances were playing a key role in stabilising the country’s economy.
Chairing a meeting on the increase seen in remittances, the Prime Minister stressed the need for steps to provide more incentives to Pakistanis living abroad.
